It's easy!
- Contact the WNC Green Building Council (WNCGBC) with questions or interest in certifying a HealthyBuilt Home. Email maggie@wncgbc.org or call 828.254.1995.
- Join the WNCGBC as a Business Member.
- Visit the Green Calendar to register for the next HealthyBuilt Homes Orientation Course. This course must be completed before a home can be certified.

- Schedule and appointment with the WNCGBC. Complete the New Home Registration Form, pay per home fee, review checklist and indicate possible points.
- Work with a Certified HealthyBuilt Home Rater to perform the HealthyBuilt Home inspection as well as the required Energy Star rating. List of HBH Certified HERS Raters
- Schedule an appointment with your Rater to perform the Energy Star modeling and inspections.
- Schedule inspections during construction:
- At completion of framing and before insulation
- After insulation
- At the home's completion
- All documentation will be sent to NC Solar Center for review and final approval. The certification and performance reports will then be sent to the builder.
