The Events Committee has the opportunity to plan public events on selected green building related topics. These events have successfully provided educational and networking opportunities here in WNC.
Past topics include the WNC Million Solar Roofs Initiative, insulation, landscaping with native plants, energy efficient mortgages, indoor air quality, building green, and smart growth in WNC. Continuing education credits have been provided for architects, engineers, planners, and landscape architects.

- Developing the programs: selection of speakers and topics, selection of location, and coordination of continuing education credits if applicable,
- Securing sponsorships (if necessary)
- Advertising and promotional tasks including designing ads, writing press releases, and submitting materials for publication,
- Organizing council volunteers for key duties at the forum
- Setting up, mediating and announcing, and clean up on the day of the event.
WNCGBC members receive free admission to the events. Please email info@wncgbc.org to volunteer for this committee.
